Fedcap Area Manager in Springfield, Virginia

In this supervisory position, the employee will demonstrate the leadership attributes needed to guide the organization’s direct support and personal support professionals in providing superior service delivery to both individuals with disabilities working within the Group Day, Group Supported Employment, and Community Engagement programs and the vendors they serve. This position supervises and trains staff, communicates with vendors, and ensures written Person-Centered Individual Service Plans, quarterlies, documentation, and reports in adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.

Training, Supervision, & Mentoring: Oversee scheduling, staff training, and regulatory responsibilities for the organization’s program services. Develop task lists and activity schedules for Asst. Program Coordinators (as applicable to the project). Provide appropriate supervision and training, modeling, mentoring, support, or counseling to direct and personal support professionals regarding appropriate work attitudes, work skills, specific individual service delivery, and other duties in the assigned program area. Meet with the Director on an established and as-needed basis to discuss workforce and program services delivery issues. Communicate individual program routines and changes to appropriate individuals, Managers, and other service Directors.

Rehabilitation & Assessment: Listen and intervene with problems identified by the individuals, ensuring the inclusion of appropriate support staff to develop a solution. Provide solutions and clinical/rehabilitation goals for individuals to work on toward acclimation into the workforce. Assist individuals in gaining interpersonal skills. Assist with the development of department procedures. Administer and document the individual internal functional assessment evaluation and develop an individual person-centered plan with the individual and IDT. Ensure plans are compatible with behavioral plan goals/outcomes. Use techniques that convey a sense of importance for therapeutic goals and outcomes. Reinforce the positive efforts of individuals. Provide technical support for the implementation of goals and outcomes outlined in the PCP through direct support and assistance for assigned caseloads. Coordinate and attend Person-Centered Planning (PCP) / Inter-disciplinary Team (IDT) meetings as needed for assigned sites. Maintain master PCP and file audit schedules for caseload and report schedule changes and/or issues to team members as appropriate. Conduct assessment meetings. Maintain current knowledge of Medicaid and licensure regulations as it pertains to program delivery.

Program Development: Research, develop, and implement new and innovative programming. Work in conjunction with Clinical Services, Compliance, and Quality to assist with ongoing program development. Assist in developing community education and/or program outreach activities.

Liaison & Outreach: Assist in establishing and maintaining positive liaison roles with families, group homes, local school systems, intellectual disabilities service boards, and community access sites. Assist in developing community education and/or program outreach activities

Compliance & Reporting: Assists in oversight of compliance with regulatory requirements (abuse reporting, human rights). Attend individual meetings and coordinate schedules with the other members of the program services team. Interface with other team members to improve individual service and program outcomes. Communicate with PCP team members and others to coordinate individual planning and support. Responsible for data keeping in relation to outcome measures Audit individual files to ensure regulatory compliance and accurate recordkeeping of service delivery. Collect, edit, type, complete, process, file, and distribute recordkeeping documents for individuals’ files for a caseload of up to 45 individuals. Audit sites for regulatory, procedural, and policy compliance (i.e. ensuring that DSPs) maintain Human Rights standards, Health and Safety standards, and recordkeeping standards in accordance with State Licensure, Medicaid, CARF, DARS,
