Job Title : Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable (AR/AP) Specialist
Location : Springfield, VA - Hybrid
Years of Experience : Mid-Level (3-5 Years)
JFL Consulting is curre ntly seeking a detail-oriented and motivated AR/AP Specialist to join our team. The AR/AP Specialist will play a critical role in managing the organization's financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounts receivable and payable processes. This role requires hands-on experience with Unanet software and a strong understanding of financial workflows.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Hands-on experience with Unanet software for financial processes
Proficiency in accounts receivable and accounts payable operations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Duties to Include but not Limited to :
Process and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
Reconcile invoices, payments, and account discrepancies
Ensure timely and accurate billing and collection processes
Prepare and review financial reports related to AR/AP activities
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in Unanet
Respond to vendor and client inquiries regarding billing and payments
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve financial discrepancies
Preferred Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Technical, Business, or Management fields
3-5 years of experience in AR/AP or related financial roles
Experience in a government contracting or professional services environment is a plus
Knowledge of GAAP principles and practices
Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Certifications :
Accounting or finance-related certifications (e.g., Certified Accounts Payable Professional - CAPP, Certified Bookkeeper - CB)
