Cabela's Accounts Payable Clerk in Springfield, United States
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the financial, administrative, and clerical support for our Tracker Marine Boat Centers. The Accounts Payable Clerk reviews and processes vendor invoices and is part of the customer service support team to all the company’s vendors, which includes reconciling vendor statements and mailing checks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Accrues invoices at month end.
Verifies pricing with invoice purchase orders and or proper authorization.
Performs data entry of invoices into Accounts Payable systems.
Files invoices in Open Payable waiting for checks to print.
Stuffs and mails checks.
Reconciles vendor statements.
ALL OTEHR DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Years of experience: 1-2 years
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier
Competent in Microsoft Office Suite, namely Excel
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regularly performs computer work and sits.
Occasionally walks and stands.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT :
- Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
