PILOT CAR ESCORT DRIVER ($1000 HIRING INCENTIVE)
SOUTH DAKOTA HOUSING
DESCRIPTION: Primarily responsible for driving a company pilot car and assisting with the delivery and installation of Governors Houses. The Governors House Program is a program funded by SD Housing, in which prison inmates at the Mike Durfee State Prison build low-cost, energy efficient homes to income qualified individuals and families.
QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidate must possess excellent customer service and trade skills; experience working with a variety of clients; basic knowledge of State DOT Escort vehicle requirements, rules, and regulations; experience with hydraulic jacks, metal beams and other heavy equipment; and the ability to communicate professionally. Home transport experience a plus. Successful candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED or a combination of three years of related education and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must have good driving record.
LOCATION: Springfield, SD (Candidate does not have to live in Springfield, but must be able to travel to and from to pick up houses and travel within the state)
STARTING SALARY: $20.12 to $22.63 per hour or more depending on experience.
