As a Manufacturing Engineering Project & Sustainment Intern, you'll be a crucial part of our team, working on innovative projects to enhance International's workforce and process improvement strategies. Dive into an inclusive work environment that values equity and belonging.

About the Intern Program

12-week program with start dates on: May 12th or 19th, or June 2nd40 hours per weekMust graduate between December 2025 - May 2027

Responsibilities

• Process Improvement: Complete and analyze the project process and develop process improvements. Pursue process improvements through communication of critiques and implementation of improvements.• Supplier Interaction: Engage with suppliers, develop statement of work for supplier bids, perform critical supplier bid analysis, and foster strong relationships.• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly between various departments such as; Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Safety Deputies, Manufacturing, and Finance, ensuring a collaborative approach.• Project/Program Management: Strong focus on tracking, implementing, and management of projects and presentations.• Procurement: Use Navistar software associated with purchasing such as Chase and eProcurement, purchase necessary project components, and improve cost savings.

Minimum Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B or F-1 status)

Desired Skills

  • At least Sophomore standing for undergrad at the time of application

  • Able to work at least 12 weeks (starting the end of May or early June through August)

  • Previous applicable internships

  • Self-starter

  • High level of computer skills (Microsoft Applications and Internet)
