Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) as part of the medical team in the primary care environment
Provide routine consultations with providers and brief 15-30 minute assessments and interventions with patients referred from PCPs for same-day warm hand-offs and follow-up care
Administer evidence-based interventions to promote positive health behaviors for overall health and address immediate needs related to psychological health
Assess patient safety and screen for behavioral health disorders
Provide clear and concise feedback to providers, describing action plans and establishing plans for follow-up
Facilitate integrated patient care by working collaboratively with medical teams
Educate medical teams on identification and treatment of behavioral health concerns
Support referrals to specialty mental health services as needed
Promote positive working relationships between medical partners and Burrell Behavioral Health
Qualifications:
Must possess at least a Master’s degree in a Human Services field.
Must be licensed in Missouri as a Professional Counselor (LPC), a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist (PhD/PsyD/LP).
Provisional licensure (PLPC, LMSW, or PLP) may be considered.
Applicants should have an interest in and/or experience with brief interventions, team-based care, a wide variety of psychiatric, substance abuse and behavioral medicine problems, and diverse populations.
