American StaffCorp Service Witer 2nd shift in Springfield, Missouri

This is a locally owned company located in Springfield, MO since 1966. They specialize in truck and trailer transport refrigeration unit and Tri Pac APU installation and maintenance. We are currently seeking a self-motivated individual that is willing to learn and advance in the technical field of transport refrigeration service. Experience is preferred, but not required. On the job training will be provided to the right candidate. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A 2^ND^ SHIFT POSITION *and WILL REQUIRE CLOSING ON FRIDAY NIGHTS, AND OPENING ON SATURDAY MORNINGS. 3:30pm-12:00am *Duties and Responsibilities:As a Service Writer/Advisor you will be working in a fast-paced environment and will be responsible for initiating service and repairs by ascertaining unit performance problems and service requests; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer records**

  • Excellent customer service skills required while presenting a friendly, professional greeting to customers and help identify, confirm and offer resolution to customer concerns.
  • Consult with customers keeping them informed on completion times and service expenses.
  • Answers and directs incoming calls to the appropriate person/department
  • Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department
  • Opens work orders as directed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman and maintain and/or edit throughout the lifecycle of the repair process
  • Maintains Service Department filing and records
  • Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders
  • Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customers needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.
  • Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions.
  • Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment.
  • Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system.

Qualifications:

Previous Service Advisor experience is preferred, but not required

A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
