ARCTIC REFRIGERATION INC. Installation Technician in Springfield, Missouri

The Installation Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial kitchen eqiupment. This role includes placing equipment, hanging walk-in refrigeration panels, pulling electrical wire, pulling copper pipe, hanging hoods, and connecting fans/motors/controls. The ideal candidate will also have skills in light carpentry, metal work, soldering and/or welding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Placement:
    • Install and place various types of commercial kitchen equipment according to specifications and safety standards.
    • Hang and secure walk-in refrigeration panels ensuringproper insulation and fit.
  • Electrical Work
    • Pull and run electrical wiring for kitchen equipment, ensuring compliance with local codes and safety regulations.
    • Connect and test electrical components, including fans, motors, and controls.
  • Plumbing:
    • Work with copper piping, including measuring, cutting, soldering, and connecting pipes for water and gas supply lines.
    • Ensure all plumbing connections are secure and leak-free.
  • Ventilation Systems:
    • Install and hang kitchen hoods and ventilation systems.
    • Connect and ensure proper operation of exhaust fans and related components.
  • Maintenance and Repairs:
    • Perform routine maintenance on commercial kitchen equipment to ensure optimal performance.
    • Diagnose and repair equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Carpentry and Metal Work
    • Perform light carpentry tasks, such as framing and installing countertops or shelving as needed.
    • Conduct basic metal work, including cutting,, welding, and assembling metal components.
  • Compliance and Safety
    • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines during installation and repairs.
    • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
    • Provide detailed reports on completed tasks and any issues encountered

Other responsibilities and tasks may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivlant.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
  • EPA license is preferred, but not required.
