Summary
The Radiology Technologist Assistant is responsible for assisting radiology technologists in providing imaging procedures performed on patients in the various units of the radiology department in accordance with physicians' orders and the policies and procedures established by the hospital and other governing bodies.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED is preferred
Current college student or associates degree is preferred
Experience
Clinical experience and a basic understanding of medical terminology is preferred
Must possess good communication and human relation skills
Demonstrates knowledge and skills in providing age appropriate care to those patients defined in the service’s plan for providing care
Demonstrates respect for patient confidentiality and uses complete discretion with patient information. Never discusses a diagnosis with the patient or others
Integrates the hospital’s mission and vision into daily tasks through dedication to customer satisfaction, quality improvement and collaborative working relationships
