Vontier Director Program Management in Springfield, Illinois

Join as the Director, Program Management - Core Products in an exciting business unit that is focused on high growth in the point of sale, payment, remote site management and other technology within the retail solutions space. The technology solutions and the employees who develop these solutions will be at the heart of everything we do. The Director Program Management will help lead, inspire, manage, and develop a world-class PMO function reporting to the VP PMO.

What will you do?

  • Globally will support development and implementation of PMO processes, tools, and policies to ensure alignment with company objectives.

  • This person will drive several multiple, complex cross-functional initiatives to completion on budget, within scope and on schedule.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure clear understanding of expectations, milestones, and deliverables.

  • This person will lead program managers assigned to multiple product development initiatives across multiple geographies.

  • Partner with the senior leadership team to define, launch, and drive strategic and operational initiatives within key functions and across the organization.

  • Provide cost-benefit standards, KPIs, and milestones to ensure investment in the most strategic business and technology initiatives.

  • Monitor several program performances against predefined metrics and KPIs to track progress, identify areas for improvement during readouts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in program management, with at least 10 years in a leadership role managing a PMO.

  • Proven track record of leading large-scale programs and teams with successful outcomes.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and guide teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile, Scrum) and certifications (PMP, PgMP, ScrumMaster) are highly desirable.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in change management and relationship management.

  • Experience in the high-tech environment is a plus.

  • Experience in Safe is preferred.

The compensation range for this role is between $150,000-185,000. Your base salary will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
