What role you will play in our team

Supply Chain Operations Manager will be responsible for leading a team of 10-20 people to deliver reliable and efficient supply chain planning, logistics and delivery activities for unconventional oil and gas operations, with major focus on Permian Basin. Team will include category or program leads by focus area as well as a logistics support center. Internal stakeholders will include production operations, drilling operations and completions operations. Supply Chain Operations Manager will play a key role in setting near and long-term strategies for transforming existing supply chain operations to be more agile, predictive, and efficient.

What you will do

  • Set near term and long-term strategy for team in achieving supply chain excellence for major integrated oil and gas operator in Unconventional assets, heavy focus on Permian Basin

  • Lead team in delivering base and transformative supply chain solutions, in line with business needs and efficiency targets

  • Serve as Supply Chain point of contact for Drilling, Completions and Production Operations leadership, maintaining and driving improvements in key performance indicators as well as overall work processes

  • Set team focus areas to anticipate and respond to integrated supply and demand planning outlooks

  • Establish and maintain effective supplier relationships focused on the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of materials and services in upstream oil and gas operations, including casing, tubing, sand, drilling fluids, fuel, cement, and oilfield services

  • Seek and implement technology and innovative strategies related to supply chain operations

  • Lead team of people in establishing and maintaining remote logistics support activities

  • Lead team of people in managing key supply chain categories, including infield/last mile trucking, inbound logistics, drilling materials, completions materials, production chemicals, maintenance equipment, facilities equipment, oilfield rentals

  • Integrate across supply chain planning, warehouse operations, procurement and central support teams to deliver

About you

Skills and Qualifications

  • BS Degree or equivalent preferred

  • Minimum of 6 years in relevant upstream and/or supply chain roles

  • Familiarity with upstream oil and gas activities, including drilling, completions and production operations

  • Effective in leading integrated and matrix teams

  • Ability to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries

  • Ability to turn information into insights, insights into strategy and strategy into action

  • Tendency to deploy a growth mindset to learn and adapt

  • Ability to communicate clearly (orally and written) across various stakeholders to drive understanding and action

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

Preference for prior experience in Permian oilfield operations, either with E&P operator or service company / supplier sector
