Strike Proposal/Bid Manager in Spring, Texas
Job Summary:
The Proposal Manager will serve as the expert on Bid and Proposal Management for Strike and its subsidiary companies. The ideal candidate will perform diversified duties from managing the development and submission of larger, strategic, complex proposals to preparing resumes, project case studies, and other specialized content for use across proposals. Full day to day management of the proposal and proposal process is expected. The ideal candidate will have exceptional project management, writing and communication skills, with a proven track record of the following: writing winning, compliant, proposals; remaining calm under pressure, and communicating clearly to large, diverse groups; and successfully developing and maintaining internal and external relationships, while effectively navigating organizational barriers. Job duties are outlined below.
Primary Job Function:
Proposal Expertise
Reviewing RFPs and client solicitations.
Preparing proposal checklists to drive compliance and proposal/bid responsiveness on strategic efforts.
Working closely with business development, operations, estimators, and other key stakeholders to develop, capture, and win strategies.
Discussing and identifying value propositions, and delegating, and assigning deliverables.
Preparing select deliverables (e.g., cover letters, executive summaries, staff bios, resumes, projects list/case studies etc.) and drafting sections of the overall proposal, by including content from different stakeholders.
Leading key stakeholders through a strategic process to review assignments, discuss RFP and client requirements and prepare accurate, timely, branded proposals.
Scheduling, holding and leading proposal kick offs, process check calls and reviews to discuss proposal/bid requirements, approach, win strategies, assign deliverables, and track progress through proposal/bid completion and submission.
Finding creative ways to present company and team qualifications and experience.
Developing and establishing a repository of templates, standard language, and other data resources to create high-quality and accurate responses.
Accurately delegating assignments to ensure proper review of applicable contractual documents, as well as safety and quality, scope-specific RFP exhibits and drawings, Etc.
Ensuring feedback and redlines are adequately addressed and where possible, incorporated into drafts and applicable deliverables.
Conducting lessons learned and/or client debriefs to improve proposal and evaluate win/loss.
Simplifying complex information into compelling, succinct commercial documents.
Serving as a mentor to junior-level Proposal/Bid Coordinators, delegating select assignments to others on the team, reviewing content and providing constructive feedback.
Serving as a Bid Center Brand Ambassador to uphold the core values of teamwork, perseverance, resilience, quality, and transparency, at all times.
Process Management
Adopting established best practices on proposal management.
Taking a continuous improvement mindset.
Working collaboratively with different internal stakeholders.
Developing and adopting standardized tools to capture notes for proposals/bids: from kick off calls, pre-bid meetings, process reviews, client debriefs, and lessons learned.
Using and building Content Libraries to streamline proposal/bid responses, improving content of resumes and project qualifications.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Proposal Management, ideally in the AEC industry.
Experience on developing commercial proposals/bids, essential.
Experience in prepositioning and proposal development for projects in excess of $10M essential.
At least 3 years of experience preparing clear and concise content and/or proposal submissions to meet marketing objectives.
Education/Training:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, Marketing, Communications and/or Business Administration, or another relevant discipline, is preferred.
A certification in Proposal Management, preferred but not essential.
Hands on experience, and knowledge of preparing proposals for Oil & Gas Construction, preferred.

Client management/BD Knowledge Preferred.
Advanced MS Office capabilities (including Word, Excel, Power Point).
Knowledge of CRM and Unanet (ideal).
