Sherwin-Williams Company Production Operator - Blender in Spokane, Washington

The Facility Blender Color is responsible for conducting paint drawdowns, preparing, and blending customer orders to meet their specifications, documenting work orders and formulas, and maintaining all color-matching and mixing equipment. Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Facility Blender Color is responsible for conducting paint drawdowns, preparing, and blending customer orders to meet their specifications, documenting work orders and formulas, and maintaining all color-matching and mixing equipment. The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at Facility #8456, located at: 420 W. Boone Ave., Spokane, WA 99201 Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm Compensation: $18.50 - $23.00 Prepare customer orders, including blending, adjusting, filling, and labeling batches Operate tinting and mixing equipment and material handling equipment in an efficient and safe manner Make shade and gloss adjustments to meet customer requirements Ensure customers' quality and service expectations are met Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high Keep tools, equipment, and work environment clean and organized daily Maintain production records and reporting as required Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including safety, loss prevention, and security Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations Minimum Requirements Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. on occasion Preferred Qualifications Have at least one (1) year of work experience mixing or blending raw materials and making a product in an industrial batch process Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollys, conveyor belts, etc.) Have at least one (1) year of work experience monitoring gauges, dials, or other machinery indicators to ensure proper operation of machinery Have at least one (1) year of work experience monitoring the quality of raw materials and/or finished goods Have at least one (1) year of work experience operating machinery in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment Have at least one (1) year experience working in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility Have prior work experience operating tinting or color matching equipment Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, Inclusion and Diversity Supportive Employer.
