We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and digitally savvy morning show personality who can own the Spokane rock scene, entertain on-air, and expand the station's reach across digital platforms.
This role also includes Assistant Program Director responsibilities, making it ideal for a passionate broadcaster ready to shape the on-air, digital, and streaming experience of a powerhouse rock brand. Morning Show Personality:
- Host a live, engaging, and entertaining morning show that resonates with Spokane's rock audience.
- Develop compelling content that combines music, pop culture, local events, humor, and audience interaction.
- Produce original podcast content that expands the show's footprint beyond traditional radio.
- Utilize AI-driven content tools to enhance audience engagement and show prep.
- Maintain an active social media presence, engaging with listeners and promoting station content.
- Develop creative video, audio, and written content for our websites, apps, and digital platforms.
- Drive listener engagement and database growth through VIP Clubs, websites, streaming, and contesting.
- Represent the station at public appearances, events, and promotions, strengthening audience connections.
- Collaborate with sales and promotions teams to develop revenue-generating sponsorships and integrations.
- Stay up to date on rock music, pop culture, and industry trends to keep content fresh and relevant.
Assistant Program Director (APD) Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Program Director on the overall music strategy, station imaging, and content execution.
- Assist in scheduling music and managing station logs to ensure smooth programming flow.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and guidance to on-air talent and production staff.
- Oversee station imaging, promos, and creative production to maintain Rock 94 1/2's distinct sound and brand identity.
- Collaborate with promotions and digital teams to develop AI-enhanced marketing strategies, contests, and digital content.
- Monitor audience trends, streaming analytics, and engagement data to help shape the station's content and programming direction.
- Assist in ensuring all content aligns with FCC regulations and company policies.
What We're Looking For:
A bold, engaging, and authentic personality who can own the room---on-air and online.
Minimum 3-5 years of on-air experience in a competitive radio market.
Passion for rock music and deep knowledge of the format, audience, and lifestyle.
Strong creative writing, storytelling, and digital content creation skills.
Proficiency in social media, video content, podcasting, and AI-driven content tools.
Experience with music scheduling software (MusicMaster, Selector, or similar) is a plus.
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
