Job Description

In this role, you will join the Engineering Development Program (EDP).  You will be responsible for carrying out entry-level Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering assignments. As an Engineer in the EDP, you will have an opportunity to rotate every six months among various engineering teams such as the Innovation Lab, System Planning, Protection, Substation, Transmission, Generation, Distribution, SCADA, Meter Automation, Gas, Operations and Efficiency Engineering. The EDP program is a two-year program.   

 

You will collaborate with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders. To perform engineering work in the above areas which requires broad technical and company knowledge as well as originality and judgment in the technical analysis and independent evaluation, selection and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.

Requirements

  • ABET accredited bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred) or its equivalent in technical training with an EIT certificate

  • Preference will be given to applicants with internships/work experience with utilities

  • Effective and flexible communication skills

  • 0-1 years engineering work experience preferred

Hybrid work options are available for this role. The successful candidate will be required to work at our Spokane, Washington headquarters at least 3 days per week including Mondays and Tuesdays with an additional day determined by the employee and manager.
