Job Description:
The Incoming Inspector QA is part of an inspection team responsible for the receipt, sampling, and distribution of samples, inspection, and recommending final disposition of all non-biological and some biological raw material. The Inspector must exercise considerable judgement and make recommendations regarding product acceptance. This position involves interaction with various levels of internal staff as well as contact with vendors and occasionally contract clients.
Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Handle, inspect, sample and recommend dispositon of all incoming raw material components used to process or will become part of the final product.
- Handle, inspect, sample and recommend dispositon of all materials utilized in the laboratory areas such as testing reagents, chemicals, and standards.
- Inspect, and recommend disposition of all returned goods for Customer Service and carry out that final disposition.
- Assist in writing and/or revising Standard Operating Procedures and Material Specifications for QA Incoming Inspection area and in the maintenance and control of other records associated with the inspection of incoming materials.
- Use glassware, which includes backfilling of trays during random sampling, qualification of vial test sets, and utilizing the PDA Technical Report 43 for classification of glass defects.
- Represent the Incoming Inspection area during vendor and client audits/tours of facility and interact with auditors.
Other duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent. Associates of Science desired.
- Minimum of 3 years related experience.
- Experience in production areas and product knowledge required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, ERP, and MRP systems required, and experience working with Excel and SAP is required.
- Physical Requirements: Lift up to 40 lbs unassisted. 14/14 corrected near-point vision. Must be able to pass Color Deficiency Testing. Exposure to Allergens. Prolonged standing and sitting.

Compensation & Benefits:
This is an on-site, full-time position located in Spokane, WA.
