Description Provides quality care to patients in their homes under the direction of a physician. The Behavioral Health Nurse functions as a consultant in the nursing assessment of patients who are managed by other disciplines in the department and coordinates patient care activities with other members of the health care team. Position includes responsibility for the assessment, treatment, and care of patients of all ages including adults and geriatric. The treatment of patients is individualized and reflects an understanding of the developmental needs and range of treatment requirements. Nurse is responsible for monitoring medical, physical and psychiatric care needs of assigned patients in Home Health. Practice is within the scope defined by the Washington State Nurse Practice Act, based on the nursing process model and concept of community health nursing. Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree Nursing Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Within 30 days of hire: National Provider Identifier (NPI) number This position requires that you obtain an NPI number within 30 days of starting in the position.
