Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will set up and operate CNC machines, read and write Haas G-code, and run a Haas TL-3 Lathe and Haas vertical mills of various sizes. You will be responsible for reading, writing, comprehending, and following written and verbal instructions regarding technical drawings, as well as verifying material and components by inspection against prints. This role requires adherence to safety procedures and regulations, including OSHA requirements, and the ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines

• Read and write Haas G-code

• Run a Haas TL-3 Lathe and Haas vertical mills of various sizes

• Read, write, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions regarding technical drawings

• Verify material and components by inspection against prints

• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations, including OSHA requirements

• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs

• Consistently be present at work every day, arriving on time and ready to contribute

• Pay keen attention to detail and have problem-solving skills

• Work well independently or in a team to meet company goals

• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Essential Skills

• Experience setting up and operating CNC lathe and mills

• Proficiency with mechanical and machine operating

• Ability to read blueprints

• Troubleshooting skills

• Experience with forklifts and machine operation

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3 years of machining experience preferred, working with conventional lathes, mills, drill presses, and CNC

• Willingness to train the right candidate

• Ability to do shop math

• Experience operating overhead cranes

• Proficiency with using a tape measure, calipers, hand tools, and various other shop tools

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00
