We are looking for:

Category Buyer - Technical Services / Goods

This position brings a unique opportunity to develop worldwide interactions with Suppliers, Internal Customers such as Global Business Units (GBUs), Global Engineering and Construction (GEC), and the Procurement function itself with the purpose of closely partnering with our business and plants, capturing best in class opportunities collaboratively,for an optimal TCO approach, mitigating business risks and enhancing Syensqo sustainability profile.

We count on you for:

• For Procurement Category Strategies, the Category Buyer role is to contribute with the central procurement team, presenting the local practices, setting the WW strategy and implementing the Value Creation action plan at zone level, directly or indirectly through local support.

• This position has active roles for ongoing supplier management and contract ownership, supplier performance and qualification of vendors including adherence to Corporate Social Responsibilities and Sustainability.

• For this position, the categories to cover concern mainly Technical Services in the following fields Maintenance (Onsite Maintenance, Mechanical, Electricity & Instrumentation services, Piping, Specific Maintenance)

• Environmental including Remediation (Water inlet treatment, Waste treatment) in the framework of Syensqo One Planet.

• The geographical scope covers mainly the plants in Italy. Other countries could be concerned, depending on addressable costs and portfolio.

Main activities:

• Identify strategy relevant for region and category or specific site

• Perform (or liaise with strategy team) market research for category and project

• Monitor suppliers spend, cost, performance, contract and TCO

• Coordinate strategies with Procurement Managers and other Global Buyers

• Develop, implement and report cost improvements and performance metrics within the Group system

• Work with cross-functional teams to implement and manage category strategies of hi responsibility

• Obtain stakeholder approvals prior to initiation of category strategies

• Manage multiple suppliers for long term relationship and performance improvement

• Work with legal to develop and execute contracts related to managed categories

• Effective communication to all stakeholders of all contract related or market related changes

• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and ethical practices and local laws and regulations

• Meeting audit requirements for ISO 9001 and various internal audits such as Customer Satisfaction

You will bring:

• Engineering or in Business or Supply Chain with a technical background

• 3 years of Experience in Purchasing,in Industrial area, and in building strong supplier relationships with internal customers

• Purchasing Technical services

• Chemical Plant experience

• Knowledge of procurement systems, ability to analyze market trends and forecasting

• Proficient in MS Office, MS Project and Google environment

• Ability for work in matrix and cross-functional team in positive collaborative manner

• Strong negotiation and contract skills, strong analytical quantitative and problem-solving skills

• Must be able to adapt to fast moving environment and changing priorities

• Excellent communication skills

• Person should have the ability and maturity to work in a collaborative and proactive way in a Multi Customer (GBU, BSA, sites) and dynamic environment.

• SAP expertise

• Fluent in several EMEA languages - at least English & Italian.

• French and Sales Force knowledge are a plus

Additional information:

• We offer one year contract

• Travel up to 20% (between industrial sites in the defined geographical scope)
