Avera has an exciting opportunity to be the first impression of Avera as a Patient Flow Coordinator for patient registration and scheduling.

Job Summary
Serves as a member of the provider’s Care Team coordinating the flow of patients through managing phone calls, schedules, equipment and assisting provider and nurse with various clinical responsibilities as requested. Serves as the first point of contact for the patient to the Care Team.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education and three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience required.
Medical Assisting certificate from a college or Medical Office Technology technical school preferred.
Written and oral communication skills and medical terminology experience preferred.
Computer knowledge and skills preferred.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS
Medical Assistant Certificate or Medical Office Terminology certified preferred.
Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and three years thereafter.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position.
Occasional weekends
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $17.50 - $22.00 per hour
