Must have own transportation to and from jobsite every work day (driver's license not required)

Safety & Health Coordinator: Assist Division and Corporate Safety & Health Directors in maintaining the Company’s Safety Program in a manner to ultimately protect the safety and health of all employees, our clients and the public. This position provides Health, Safety and Environmental support to multiple or single projects. Assist in the identification of hazardous workplace conditions and ensure that all recognizable hazards have been mitigated. Typical duties of this position are outlined below, but are subject to change depending on project or Safety Department needs.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Training:
Facilitate New Hire Safety Orientations
Review Site Specific Safety Plan requirements
Conduct Formal OSHA and other regulatory training
Informally coach and mentor employees on safety
Conduct or assist with weekly safety meetings
Perform additional training as mandated by work activity, clients and/or the law
Health, Safety and Environmental Audits:
Routinely inspect and report project safety conditions
Document, create and distribute formal inspection reports
Immediately correct or ensure unsafe conditions have been corrected
Identify positive and negative safety trends and share the information accordingly
Incident Investigations:
Thoroughly investigate workplace incidents, including but not limited to the following:
Workplace Injuries
Near-Miss Incidents
Property and Equipment Damage
Auto Accidents
Theft and Vandalism
Create and distribute accurate and detailed investigation reports in a timely manner
Safety Equipment Management:
Manage (or assist with managing) Personal Protective Equipment inventory
Ensure safety monitoring equipment is properly calibrated
Provide assistance with bump testing safety monitoring equipment
Inspect and maintain fall protection devices/equipment
Partnering:
Support all field activities, including attending client meetings
Attend story board meetings
Attend and contribute to project staff meetings
Partner with the Employee Services regarding Drug-Free Awareness Policy, new employee orientation procedures and miscellaneous employee training at various intervals
Foster a team approach to safety with project supervision and Division management
Assist Risk Management regarding Workers Compensation issues
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
Completed OSHA 510 course
Completed formal training in root cause analysis investigation
Current certification for First Aid and CPR
Meets at least one of the following criteria:
A college degree in HSE related field
Professional certification/designation relating to HSE
Possess sufficient years of experience of having served in such a capacity that makes the individual competent in fulfilling HSE role
Maintain procedural knowledge on regulatory compliance standards and practices
Specialized instruction in safety-related field, or equivalent combination of intellectual instruction and work experience
Intermediate computer skills (i.e. PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel)
