Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller to join a client in the Manufacturing industry, based in Spartanburg, South Carolina. As a Controller, your role will involve overseeing the financial operations, implementing accounting policies and procedures, and regularly interacting with our IT group for diverse problem resolutions and discussions regarding new procedures/processes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the accounting team to perform financial accounting requirements and performance reporting

• Handle balance sheet accounts through periodic reconciliations

• Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures

• Conduct general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations, and variance bridge analysis

• Understand inventory analysis and assist with physical inventories and reconciliations, with a special focus on Raw Materials and costing in SAP

• Coordinate and perform annual external audits or quarterly reviews

• Coordinate various treasury/banking functions including domestic and international wires

• Work with Shared Services on transactional processes (AP & AR) and reporting processes

• Assist with general ledger management, budget preparations, and monthly rolling forecast

• Prepare, file, and ensure compliance with local and federal taxes

• Perform monthly variance analysis to identify opportunities to improve business profitability

Requirements • Possess strong knowledge of SAP software for various operational procedures

• Skilled in conducting Month End Close operations efficiently

• Proficient in managing Year End Closings in a timely manner

• Experience in preparing and filing Corporate Tax Returns

• Strong understanding of Corporate Treasury operations

• Ability to conduct Balance Sheet Reviews with a keen eye for detail

• Proven experience in creating and managing Rolling Forecasts

• Adept in working within the manufacturing industry

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Proactive in identifying issues and implementing necessary changes

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is required

• CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
