Job Title: CNC Milling Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking two experienced CNC Milling Machinists to join our team on the 2nd shift. This role entails working from 4:30 pm to 2:30 am with a built-in overtime of a 50-hour work week. Training will initially take place on the 1st shift with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Maintain specifications by observing tooling, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting controls, and replacing worn tools.

• Read and interpret customer blueprints and company operation sheets.

• Utilize machine control to set tools and enter offsets.

• Follow setup instructions including setting up fixtures, vices, and rotaries.

• Troubleshoot and work directly with programming and inspection to adjust CNC programs as required.

• Use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators as needed.

• Operate within AS9100/ISO9001 requirements including proper documentation, revision control, traceability, and lot control.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience setting up and running milling machines.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Proficiency in setting up fixtures, changing over tooling, entering offsets, and using machine control.

• Experience with troubleshooting and adjusting CNC programs.

• Familiarity with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators.

• Knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in advanced manufacturing is preferred.

Work Environment

This is a typical production environment working on the shop floor in a machine shop setting. The 2nd shift schedule is Monday to Friday, 4:30 pm to 2:30 am.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Southwick, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $40.00
