We are currently seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team in Southington, Connecticut!

If you are located in Southington, Connecticut, you will have the flexibility to work from home and the office in this hybrid role* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • This position is within our Refresh Mental Health (RMH) organization, which provides a variety of behavioral and mental health treatments, including individual and group therapy, medication management, and intensive outpatient programs

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, clear Connecticut PMHNP license

  • 2+ years of post-licensure experience

  • Proven ability to provide psychiatric assessment

  • Proven solid diagnostic and evaluation skills

  • Proven comfortable working with a wide range of clinical presentations

  • Ability to work a hybrid role in Southington, CT (2-3 days remote and office based)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with older adults

  • Experience with couples or family counseling

  • Experience working with patients with chronic medical conditions

  • Experience with health psychology

  • Proven ability to counsel patients using advanced psychotherapeutic techniques, including in group settings, if needed

  • Proven ability to provide patient education, specifically regarding medication treatment adherence and aftercare services

  • Proven self-motivated, ambitious, and can quickly build rapport with clients

Connecticut Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
