About the Role

As a Computer Engineering Student at Magna Electronics, you will join a dynamic team of professionals, implementing cutting edge technologies on both existing and new development products of Autonomous Driving. The Computer Engineering Student will be placed on the Optics Team in the Interior Sensing Systems group. This will be a flexible role of integrating Computer Engineering into applications such as imaging optics, hardware software interface, and vehicle validation.

Your Responsibilities

  • Perform all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle; design, code, test, integration, verification, and integration support.

  • Support scripting to automate the embedded development tasks and develop the tool documentation.

  • Image/signal processing, image/data fusion, application development, and other development to support test and verification.

  • Support imaging optical verification software, frame grabber integration, & vehicle validation tools

Who we are looking for

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program pursing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science.

  • Knowledge of SW Development Lifecycle

  • Software development experience in Python and C+ Your preferred qualifications

  • At least one class completed in Python and/or C++ Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)

  • Part-time availability year round
