Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay Transparency: The anticipated starting base salary range for New York, California and Washington, DC based individuals expressing interest in this position is $40,000 - $60,000. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity. You may be eligible for additional bonus compensation in this role.

Audacy has entry level opportunities for a Sales Associate in several of our top Markets!

Our Sales Associate program offers a comprehensive onboarding and training into the world of media and audio sales, designed to educate new sales talent with the skills and knowledge essential for success. As a Sales Associate, you will have structured training that educates you on our products and processes, providing you with a solid foundation to move into an Account Executive role within 12 months!

This is an evergreen posting for Sales Associate classes beginning in Jan/Feb 2025.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Training and Development: Engage in an immersive learning experience focused on understanding our products and services, as well as the dynamics of the media business from a sales perspective.

  • Support Senior Account Executives: Work closely with senior account executives throughout the sales process, gaining hands-on experience in both pre-sale and post-sale activities, including client proposals, attending sales meetings and keeping track of deadlines.

  • Client Interaction: Assist in client communications and relationship management, under the guidance of experienced team members.

  • Market Research: Conduct research to support sales efforts, including identifying potential clients and understanding market trends.

  • Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks related to sales operations to ensure smooth workflow and efficient service delivery.

  • Lead Generation assisting Account Executives in prospecting new clients

  • Collaboration: Work with internal departments to ensure accurate delivery of campaign to client (Traffic, Promotions, Programming)

Qualifications

About You:

Required & Preferred:

  • Requires 4-year degree; Marketing, Business or Communications preferred or similar work experience

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or a related field is preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with customers and team members.

  • Presentation and Public speaking skills

  • A strong customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients.

  • Basic understanding of the advertising ecosystem

  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team, supporting senior sales staff and contributing to overall team goals.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and willingness to learn new skills and processes.

  • Microsoft and Google Product experience

  • A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of the applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
