Scope of Work
Patient Care Responsibilities: Responsibilities include triaging messages, addressing pressure or mask issues, evaluating mask fit in person, and making changes to machine pressures manually or via computer during patient appointments. Assists with scheduling one-on-one mask evaluations and machine usage reviews per provider requests.
Sleep Study and Machine Management: Tasks involve reviewing sleep study results, explaining different types of sleep studies and their criteria, ordering follow up studies, and explaining machine types and usage requirements to meet CMS and AASM standards of care. Manages reviewing titration results, making remote changes for home machines per physician orders, and coordinating with DMEs.
Administrative and Support Duties: Administrative duties include sending certified letters, facilitating sleep study scheduling, contacting DMEs, scheduling hospital discharges, working with providers to adjust machine settings, managing referrals, coordinating with Inspire for consultations, assisting staff with various tasks, checking schedules for openings, and conducting annual N95 fit testing for staff.
Qualifications
Required Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy
Eligible for position after attainment of RRT NBRC status. Required
LIC-Respiratory Therapist - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care Upon Hire required
CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
