Magna Electronics, LLC has an opening for the position of Project Manager (Ref# PM1030BGD).
Work Location: 26360 American Drive, Southfield, MI 48034. 2050 Auburn Rd., Auburn Hills, MI 48326.
Position may telecommute / work remotely 2 days per week.
Job Duties: Primary customer interface for all aspects of the project development supporting customer vehicles automation features including cameras, radars, LiDAR, thermal imaging systems, mapping systems, driver monitoring systems, and/or other ADAS (advanced driver-assistance systems) ECUs (electronic control units). Act as the project team lead from quote / project kickoff to launch. Track program budget and maintain or improve profitability from sourcing. Lead cross functional team in support of project milestones (internal and customer). Responsible for risk mitigation and issues management. Monitor risks and issues (Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Financial) on assigned project. Mitigate risks, resolve issues with support from the cross functional team. Escalate and focus management attention as needed. Manage the project team and deliverables according to the product development system (APQP-based). Schedule and coordinate cross functional team meetings. Ensure company standards are respected in the development process. Own and update list of open points for internal and customer meetings and facilitate completion of tasks. Facilitate with plant quality team for the project APQP plan. Use of ISO 26262, ASPICE, DOORS, JIRA, MS Project, and MS Office.
Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field. Plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years in a related occupation including Systems Engineer, Product Engineer, or related experience. Position requires 3 years of experience with automotive product development, ISO 26262, and MS Project. * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required*. 40hrs/week.
