Admission Nurse Intern Program
Schedule:
Minimum 1 day per week, 1 weekend shift per month
Shift; 11a-11p
This is not a benefit eligible position
In this role you will have the opportunity to work in a dual role as an Admission Nurse Intern as a part of the hospital Float Team and as an occasional PCT.
This journey will be your commitment to Henry Ford Providence, Southfield Campus, post RN graduation, in a Medical/Surgical or Critical Care specialty.

Under the supervision of a nurse, provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Complete assigned nursing orders as directed by preceptor, including assisting patient with activities of daily living and taking vital signs.
Observe patient status and responses. Document and report observations to preceptor or other appropriate staff.
Assist preceptor with development of care plan by reporting test results and patient observations.
Perform other tasks as assigned, including environmental services and preparing/transporting patients for diagnostic services.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
Education:
High school diploma/GED required.
Enrolled in Nursing program.
