Specialist, Logistics

Location: Southfield, Michigan

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with Weekend On-Call Rotation

Are you a problem-solver with a passion for logistics and customer service? We are looking for a Specialist, Logistics to join our team! In this role, you will ensure smooth and efficient logistics operations by managing order entry, routing and dispatching, and traffic coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate customer profile information and enter load details into the Freight Optimizer system.

• Communicate with account managers about problem loads and actions taken, while updating receivers and customers on load statuses.

• Monitor daily pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely arrivals in good condition.

• Conduct check calls with drivers to ensure loads stay on schedule; validate load data for accurate accounting.

• Investigate and document overages, shortages, and damages.

• Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments as needed, following account manager directives.

• Provide clear directions and instructions to drivers for efficient routing.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of logistics experience.

• General knowledge of the transportation industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.

• Ability to apply common sense and follow instructions in written, verbal, or diagram formats.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
