Specialist, Logistics
Location: Southfield, Michigan
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with Weekend On-Call Rotation
Are you a problem-solver with a passion for logistics and customer service? We are looking for a Specialist, Logistics to join our team! In this role, you will ensure smooth and efficient logistics operations by managing order entry, routing and dispatching, and traffic coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate customer profile information and enter load details into the Freight Optimizer system.
Communicate with account managers about problem loads and actions taken, while updating receivers and customers on load statuses.
Monitor daily pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely arrivals in good condition.
Conduct check calls with drivers to ensure loads stay on schedule; validate load data for accurate accounting.
Investigate and document overages, shortages, and damages.
Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments as needed, following account manager directives.
Provide clear directions and instructions to drivers for efficient routing.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Minimum Requirements:
At least 1 year of logistics experience.
General knowledge of the transportation industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to apply common sense and follow instructions in written, verbal, or diagram formats.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
