Aston Carter Logistics Leader in Southfield, Michigan

Description:

Client Breakdown:

develops produce, and market machinery, systems, and services for applications involving industrial parts cleaning, degreasing, ultrasonic precision parts cleaning, high-pressure water jet deburring, surface preparation, and surface treatment1. Their solutions are used in various industries, including aerospace, medical technology, automotive, high-tech, semiconductor, and precision engineering.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Logistics

o Supervise the unloading/loading of materials.

o Supervise the verification of shipped items and quantities against material receipt or shipper.

o Visually check for damage

o Receive material in SAP/ Supervise as needed of material being received in SAP.

o Receive and identify customer property. Notify party of arrival. (Log in information)

o Move received materials to appropriate locations based on material master information.

o Run pick lists in SAP.

o Pull materials from storage and deliver to machine location.

o File pick lists after issue

o Coordinate all shipment/trucks/logistics and stay within budget.

o Create delivery note in SAP for machine/components for Aftermarket.

o Photograph the packaged load.

o Create bill of lading

o Return excess/surplus job materials from job carts back into stock.

o Return customer property or scrap customer property per PM direction.

o Generate all HTS codes as required for importing.

o Investigate material issues for all departments.

o Inventory/cycle count on regular basis.

o Assist planning/purchasing with movement of parts/stock issues.

Build

o Issue required customer parts.

o Issue all material required to job on floor.

Nonconforming Material

o Support identification of nonconforming product

o Support movement of NCM to shipping or NCM area.

o Generate manual shippers to return NCM (RMA Process)

o Receive reworked/replacement item.

o Issue back to stock or floor.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervise shipping/receiving personnel/contractor’s activities.

• Enforce safety policies and management system processes with employees and contractors.

• Available to be on-call after hours as it relates to logistics/building

Skills:

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Hard Skills

o SAP

o Customs/Logistics

o Microsoft Office Product application capability (specifically Word, Excel, Power point and Project)

o Thorough understanding of HUS processes

Soft Skills

o Manage time effectively

o Communicate effectively with customer, suppliers, Heller management and employees

Experience Level:

Intermediate Level

Fully onsite in southfield, Monday- friday 8am-5pm
