This position is for a Horizontal Directional Drill Operator with a company in Coldwater, MS.
Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Directional Drill Operator to join our team. Ideal candidate will have 5+ years verifiable experience in horizontal directional drilling.
Duties and Responsibilities: Operate various sizes of Vermeer boring machines as part of a natural gas line installation team. Ensure the proper setup and maintenance of drilling rigs and related equipment. Collaborate with team members to coordinate drilling activities and ensure project timelines are met. Monitor drilling progress and make adjustments as necessary to optimize performance. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols.
Education and Experience: Minimum 5 years verifiable experience in underground utilities and horizontal directional drilling. Familiarity with construction site practices and safety regulations. Ability to work outdoors 10-12 hours per day in all weather conditions. Willingness to travel when needed. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues on-site. Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks associated with drilling operations. A valid Class A CDL driver's license is required.
