Job Summary: This position requires the ability to perform the following responsibilities in a safe, accurate and timely manner in accordance with Safety policy & procedures, Quality & the principles of 36QS, and time standards. Good attendance is required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Pull, scan, and stage product accurately for shipping. Ability to scan pick slip into warehouse database and update to appropriate status. Ability to use RF equipment to pick sale orders using varied operating systems. Stage freight in designated areas. Ability to inspect and operate various types of power equipment. Willingness to be cross trained to perform other functions such as receiving and checking. Responsibility for maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area. Other duties assigned.
Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalency preferred. 1-2 years successful warehouse/distribution experience. Ability to operate Powered Industrial Trucks.
Skills: Must have strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities in a timely manner; ability to respond and re-prioritize as customer service needs dictate. Communication Skills - Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization to include customer service, sales, finance, employees and managers via phone, email, etc. Regular attendance is essential. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Physical Demands: Position requires sitting, walking, stooping, bending, talking in person and by phone or video, visual acuity; the stamina to work the shift as scheduled and on a regular basis, ability to work in a non-climate controlled facility with exposure to heat and/or cold in accordance with weather conditions, lifting large, small or awkwardly shaped items on a regular or repeated basis as needed; extensive use of computer or other electronics equipment.
