Perfect for college students who want to secure a summer job while attending school! Job Summary: We are seeking reliable Delivery Drivers to join our team. As a delivery driver you will be responsible for driving various vehicles such as stake body trucks with lift gates or 2500 series trucks with 18 ft trailers throughout Western Mass and Northern Connecticut as well as setting up and breakdown events. This position requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Duties: - Safely operate a variety of vehicles including box trucks, 2500 series trucks and trailers. - Load and unload goods using a dolly and manual lifting - Execute delivery routes while ensuring timely and efficient deliveries - Follow traffic laws and maintain a safe driving record - Verify delivery instructions and ensure accurate documentation - Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner Skills: - Valid driver\'s license with a clean driving record. Driving records can be requested with an insurance agent or online through the registry. - DOT card is *preferred* but not required for hire. New hires will be reimbursed for DOT cards after 90 days of employment. - Ability to load and unload heavy items safely - Excellent time management and organizational skills - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Effective communication skills We offer opportunities for career advancement within our organization. After 2-4 weeks of exceptional work drivers have the opportunity to advance to a team leader position. Team leaders are responsible for driving and maintaining a good relationship with a delivery partner. Team leaders ensure trucks are correctly loaded for the day and routes are followed for timely delivery, setup, and pickup of events. Team leaders will unload trucks properly at the end of every shift and ensure any damaged items are labeled for repair.
