Aerotek TIG Welder in SOUTH WINDSOR, Connecticut

Job Title: TIG Welder

Job Description

Join a high-tech manufacturing company focused on supplying precision components to the aerospace and gas turbine engine industries. Our services include a wide range of specialized welding techniques such as electronic beam (EB) welding, GTAW welding, semi-automatic GTAW welding, robotic, 7-axis GTAW welding, and vacuum heat treatment. The candidate will be primarily involved in chamber welding aerospace and ground power parts, aircraft TIG welding with all exotic alloys, welding single-crystal air-foils, and documenting the welding repair process for military aircraft parts. Training will be provided on the first shift for 1-3 weeks before transitioning to the second shift schedule, which runs from 3pm-11pm, Monday-Friday.

Hard Skills

  • TIG Welding

  • Stainless steel fabrication

  • Ability to pass flat plate test

  • Experience with electronic beam (EB) welding, GTAW welding, and vacuum heat treatment

Soft Skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Documentation skills

  • Ability to adapt to training and shift schedules

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in SOUTH WINDSOR, Connecticut.

The work environment is laid back and clean with a nice layout of machines. There is a strong emphasis on learning, and all employees are friendly and accepting. The position offers the flexibility to work on either the 1st or 2nd shift.
