What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you as an integral member of a dynamic group of scientists and platform experts will perform and evaluate clinical biomarker assays employing a variety of platforms to support our drug development efforts.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Employ a wide variety of platforms in our biomarker laboratory to develop and qualify biomarker assays to support various clinical programs and assess soluble biomarkers

  • Choose the most appropriate platform to address biomarker questions by employing innovative approaches

  • Collaborate with scientists representing multiple therapeutic areas and work closely with groups in other functional areas

  • Analyze, interpret, and present data to the partners

  • Work collaboratively with internal and external partners and manage vendors

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree PhD OR PharmD OR MD [and relevant post-doc where applicable] and 2 years of scientific/technical experienceORMaster’s degree and 5 years of scientific/technical experienceORBachelor’s degree and 7 years of scientific/technical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of biomarker assay platforms particularly those that are used to assess soluble biomarkers such as ELISA, Luminex, MSD, Simple Plex, and Simoa is required; Firm understanding of quantitative LC/MS and proteomics platforms such as O-Link and SomaLogic is preferred; knowledge of cell-based (including flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry) and genomics platforms is a plus

  • Basic understanding of disease biology and biomarker approaches in multiple therapeutic areas

  • Experience working and coordinating with internal stakeholders and team members as well as external partners such as CROs and vendors to support outsourced activities

  • Basic knowledge of working in a regulated environment; Review and draft requirements documents (SOPs, guidelines and work instructions)

  • Familiarity with processes and factors needed to evaluate, qualify, and manage CROs

  • Experience working in a matrixed environment to implement biomarker assay development and validation employing innovative approaches to support clinical trials

  • Project management skills to meet critical timelines associated with various activities necessary to support biomarker assessment of clinical samples

  • Demonstrated track record of critical independent thinking, troubleshooting ability and innovative approaches to solve complex questions is highly desirable

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple studies, strong verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of motivation, creativity and collaborative qualities

  • Experience with complex data analysis and interpretation

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
