Do you have construction payroll experience? We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in the construction industry, based in South San Francisco, California! In this role, you will be working within a team environment, managing payroll-related tasks and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of multi-state weekly payroll for over 300 employees.

• Manage both union and non-union payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Review timecards for audits, overtime, double time, meal breaks, and shift differentials.

• Collaborate with Human Resources for efficient onboarding and management of leaves of absences.

• Handle certified payroll and labor transfer coding in accordance with regulations.

• Manage 401(k) remittance and payroll entries into the General Ledger.

• Process bonuses and garnishments in a timely and accurate manner.

• Support the preparation of quarterly tax returns and generate payroll reports, including Excel reporting using Pivot Tables and Queries.

• Undertake special projects as assigned, demonstrating proficiency in accounting software systems and workforce management platforms such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, Dayforce, and others.

• Conduct auditing and benefit functions, demonstrating a high level of competency in these areas.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now

• Knowledge of Ceridian and Dayforce systems

• Understanding of 401k - RRSP Administration processes

• Proficiency in About Time software

• Ability to manage Accounting Functions

• Experience in Auditing

• Ability to manage Benefit Functions
