Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Technical Writer for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our clients, a biotechnology company in South San Francisco. Position type: 6-month contract-to-hire

Position title: Technical Writer, Cell Therapy

Workplace: Onsite in South San Francisco, CA

Pay Range: $48-75 per hour

Responsibilities

• Create technical marketing materials such as white papers, case studies, product sheets, and technical blog posts

• Translate complex technical information into clear, compelling content for target audiences

• Collaborate with product teams to understand technical details and features

• Work with marketing teams to align content with marketing strategies and campaigns

• Develop thought leadership content to position the company as an industry expert

• Write sales enablement materials like competitive analysis documents and product presentations

• Ensure technical accuracy and consistency across all marketing communications

• Optimize content for search engines (SEO) while maintaining technical integrity

• Create user guides and documentation to support customer onboarding and retention

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Marketing, or a related technical field

• 5+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a marketing-focused role

• Experience within the cell therapy industry is required

• Strong understanding of technical concepts and ability to explain them clearly

• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills

• Familiarity with marketing principles and content strategy

• Experience with content management systems and documentation tools

• Knowledge of SEO best practices

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

• Strong research and analytical skills

• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work

Preferred

• Graphic Design experience is nice to have

• Events experience is nice to have
