Description

Robert Half's client is a leading biotech company dedicated to curing rare diseases. They are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Ledger Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. Responsibilities:

  • Maintain General Ledger: Accurately record and post financial transactions to the general ledger, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

  • Reconcile Accounts: Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure that all financial information is correct.

  • Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries, including adjustments and corrections, in accordance with accounting policies.

  • Month-End Close: Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary reports and schedules.

  • Financial Reporting: Generate and analyze financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Compliance: Ensure that all accounting practices comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.

  • Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role.

  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
