We have a highly behavioral client who requires staff who are strong, active and has experience with the mental health field. It is important to be trained in CPI and SafetyCare.

Position Overview:\ We are currently seeking a strong and compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) in Lewiston. In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct care and support to 1 female resident with intellectual and developmental disabilities or other special needs. You will also be responsible for administering medications in accordance with state regulations and ensuring the well-being and safety of our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or other special needs.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Administer medications to clients according to prescribed dosages and schedules, ensuring compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
  • Monitor and document clients\' health status and medication administration in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assist clients with therapeutic and recreational activities, promoting socialization and community integration.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for clients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in the field of developmental disabilities and medication administration.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
