The Payroll Administrator's job duties involve issuing and distributing paychecks, managing direct deposits, benefits withholding, payroll deductions, garnishments and levies, flexible spending accounts, federal and state payroll tax deposits and returns, new hire reports, federal payroll summaries, W-2s, wage and hour law compliance, and paid leave, vacation and sick time reporting.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all payroll updates.
Balances journals to ensure proper expense and Liability recognition to the General Ledger on a semi-monthly basis.
Maintain data within UKG Pro HRMS to allow for proper interfacing of UKG Pro Time and Labor data to the payroll checks as it relates to part-time and overtime hours.
Applies for new state and local income tax accounts as employees are hired in new jurisdictions.
Assists internal tax accountant to maintain proper federal and state jurisdictions.
Run all internal processes within UltiPro on a semi-monthly/bi-weekly basis, which requires creation of calendars, pay sheets, continued calculation processes to ensure proper updates to employees pay, benefits, etc., create error reports, low pay alerts, and FICA refunds.
Creates manual payroll tax returns for tax codes that are unsupported by Ultimate Software.
Assist with year-end processing of W2 data.
Assist in meeting expectations of the Payroll Department as dictated by new acquisitions.
Maintain desk procedures for all Payroll processes.
Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Experience with UKG Pro and Workforce Dimensions preferable
A minimum of 3 years of payroll experience in an organization of comparable size is preferred. FPC or CPP preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Extensive knowledge of Pivot Table / Chart, Macros, etc.)
Excellent communication/documentation skills (oral and written)
Excellent planning and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize workload
Ability to multi-task and set priorities
Detail-oriented, meticulous, and extremely diligent
Excellent client service, teamwork, and diplomacy skills
Adaptable to a fast-paced environment Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
