Note: The hourly rate for this position is $25 - $32 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
Finish: Ensure the concrete surface is level, smooth, and free of defects before finishing
Repair any cracks, holes, or other imperfections in the concrete
Spread and level the concrete using various hand tools, such as floats, trowels, and edgers
Apply the desired finish, such as a smooth, broom, or textured finish, to the concrete surface
Maintaining the appropriate moisture content and curing the concrete to achieve the desired strength and appearance
Applying specialized finishes, such as stamped, colored, or decorative concrete, as per the project requirements
Operating specialized equipment, such as concrete polishers or grinders, to achieve specific finish effects
Form: Building concrete forms according to sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions
Position rebar ties at the intersection of the rebar pieces
Ensure the tie is snug and secure to prevent movement during concrete placement
Construct, erect, install, and repair forms and fixtures of wood or plywood using carpenters hand tools and power tools
Molding and constructing expansion joints using joiners and edging tools
Using the proper release agents on the forms so the concrete does not stick prior to pouring
Monitor concrete using a vibrator to ensure correct depth
Pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float, and screed
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience
OSHA 10 or 30 hour certified preferred but not required
Access to reliable transportation
Ability to work in all types of weather
Must be punctual and reliable
Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
