Position Overview

The Associate Project Manager reports to the Associate Director of Project Management. The Associate Project Manager supports the project team with all phases of a job, including surveys, production, and installation. It is the responsibility of the Assistant Project Manager to support the team in ensuring every job is executed efficiently.

  • Takes meeting notes during team and client meetings

  • Ensures notes and files are organized in the job folder

  • Performs first review of client supplied artwork checking for required fonts, colors, sizing,

  • resolution and other requirements before they are released to production vendors

  • Identify missing, inconsistent or problematic components and troubleshoot/communicate to Project Manager

  • Assist Project Manager with production work order write-ups and correspondence

  • Assists with any administrative duties required by the project team, including but not limited to printing of materials, making copies, delivering materials to a job site, shipping samples, labeling locations on site

  • Performs site surveys at project sites: taking accurate measurements, documenting conditions with pictures, and taking notes that would be helpful to the design team

  • Liaise with clients during site surveys: answering inquiries and addressing any concerns

  • Performs quality checks on materials for samples + installs

  • Adheres to strict project schedules; identify and address roadblocks that could affect deadlines

  • Coordinates site visits with clients and installers, ensuring that all logistics have been addressed prior to visiting a job site for survey and/or installation

  • Coordinates scheduling of materials and labor for each project, verifying each job is staffed appropriately and all necessary materials are available

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree - preferably in Design, Architecture, Project Management

  • Ability to read design intent documents and construction plans

  • Proficient in Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign), G Suite

  • Experience with project management tools, preferably Asana

  • Ability to work and think independently, take initiative, adapt to changing priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines

  • Ability to interact well with a wide range of people of all levels within and outside drive21

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill

  • Strong attention to detail, exceedingly well-organized, and technologically savvy

  • A true team player, no ego’s here

  • Willingness to be flexible and roll up your sleeves (both literally and figuratively) to do what is needed to get the job done
