Job Title: Machine Technician

Job Description

As a Machine Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the blow-mold machine, ensuring quality control of 5-gallon jugs, and making real-time adjustments to correct any issues. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting process problems, performing minor maintenance, and adhering to our company's Good Manufacturing Practices.

Responsibilities

  • Operate blow-mold, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems.

  • Troubleshoot process problems and perform minor maintenance to ensure continued operation of the production line.

  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.

  • Demonstrate mastery of entry-level Machine Operator skills and teach Level-1 Machine Operator skills.

  • Adhere to quality control and blow mold process procedures.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.

  • Perform preventive maintenance procedures.

  • Adjust parisons, tail adjustments, regrind levels, weights controls, and other operator-required adjustments.

  • Consistently run two lines.

  • Repair or replace pneumatic and hydraulic lines.

  • Assist with preventive maintenance, mold, neck, blow pin, and other mechanical changes.

  • Efficiently change colors without excessive product loss.

  • Operate on multiple platforms, cross-functional, and train entry-level Machine Operators.

  • Perform duties that may vary by plant based on equipment and plant design.

  • Plastics experience is highly preferred

Work Environment

The work environment includes regular exposure to moving mechanical parts in a production setting. The noise level is usually loud, and temperatures can fluctuate between hot and cold depending on the season. The shift schedule follows a 2-2-3 pattern with 12-hour shifts, alternating between days (6 AM to 6:30 PM) and nights (6 PM to 6:30 AM with a $1 shift differential).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00
