Project Manager - Packaging Engineering SUMMARY The Project Manager manages numerous projects of varying duration, sizes, and complexity. Manages cross functionally during projects from initial orders to completion on time and within budget. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the portfolio of projects for the Packaging Engineering group and develop a comprehensive plan to track and coordinate all projects. Vet large orders to ensure high-level information is complete and assigned to appropriate departments, both internal and external. Manage project action assignments and corrective actions. Assess workload for each Engineer, Designer and Detailer using Project Management Tools; identify capacity restraints to ensure meeting customer delivery dates. Act as go-to person with respect to tracking and monitoring project progress to ensure projects are completed within set parameters. Anticipate project delays and develop expediting plans to bring projects into line with schedules. Plan and arrange management reviews with concise project updates. Generate and present daily/weekly/monthly KPIs generated within Engineering Schedule and Issue Trackers. Identify trends and recurring issues to implement preventive measures and improve overall system reliability. Provide feedback and suggestions to improve communication internal communications and engineering lead times Support in the development, implementation, and maintenance of procedures within department. Update and maintain Engineering Schedule ensuring all data is accurate. Attend Daily Operations Review Meetings, communicate any known delays in our engineering schedule and record any engineering issues raised therein and delegate to appropriate engineers with required timelines. Identify and communicate regularly with Design Planning to identify upcoming complex projects which may require engineering support during the assembly process and assign to appropriate Engineering personnel. Lead Engineering department on 5 why and Corrective Actions through the Practical Problem Solving (PPS) and One Point Lesson (OPL) format. Ensure post PPS and OPL actions are completed and hold personnel accountable for completion. Update Daily Hit/Miss KPI for Engineering and record/update weekly KPI. Performs additional duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor\'s degree in Business or related field; equivalent experience in project management may substitute for degree Five (5) years of experience in a project management role. Product Life Management (PLM) software workflow creation and maintenance. Ability to work with SolidEdge CAD modeling software to review and/or update engineering drawings and models. Intermediate Microsoft proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Teams. Experience with issue and project tracking via project management tools Must be fluent in Material Requirement Planning software. Excellent attention to detail, written and verbal communication/presentation skills. Excellent time and project management skills. Must be eligible to receive information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering Seven (7) years of experience in project management Experience with Project Management Software Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) SAP experience Solid Edge PLM ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Actively supports and complies with Pelican\'s objectives, guidelines and commitment to Quality and Safety, with an emphasis on continual improvement.
