Electrical Hot Stamping Die Technician

Adecco is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Tech for work in Hot Stamping Die area. This is a direct hire opportunity with a global company dedicated to the design and manufacturing of metal automotive parts. Qualified candidate will maintain and repair hot stamping dies, focusing on electrical aspects to ensure operational effectiveness. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, and all maintenance activities will be performed only when equipment is de-energized. The position is located in South Charleston, WV at $28-$32/hr.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with OSHA, safety, and PPE requirements.

  • Adhere to ISO and environmental standards.

  • Contribute to operational improvements within the department.

  • Conduct electrical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on hot stamping dies, cables, and presses (excluding electrical cabinets).

  • Identify and resolve electrical malfunctions in dies and machines promptly.

  • Perform emergency and unscheduled electrical repairs on dies and equipment.

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance tasks.

  • Troubleshoot and improve tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for stamping and welding processes.

  • Utilize hand tools, mills, grinders, and welders for repairs and fixture building.

  • Assist Tool and Die Technicians with maintenance tasks including grinding, polishing, and basic machining.

  • Engage in quality, cost-saving initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Check electrical continuity and sensor functionality.

  • Replace broken wires and electrical components using drilling and lathes as needed.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles.

  • Complete computerized work orders via CAPTOR/SAP.

  • Develop work instructions in accordance with TS16949 specifications.

  • Support team functions through continuous improvement, cross-training, and problem-solving.

Qualifications:

  • 1-year Electrical/Electronic certification with 1-3 years of relevant experience, OR

  • 2-year Electrical/Electronic degree.

  • Journeyman or comparable experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in standardized work instructions.

  • Strong electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills.

  • Familiarity with electrical monitoring devices (e.g., Ohm readers).

  • Machining skills (drilling, milling, lathe operation, etc.).

  • Ability to solve complex problems effectively.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands for tools and controls.

  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds (25 pounds overhead).

  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and moderate noise levels.

  • Effective communication and concentration skills.

  • Flexibility to work overtime as required and handle stress in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
