Honeywell Sr Advanced Quality Engineer in South Bend, Indiana

Interface between site and customer for daily routine issues such as rejections / escapes, corrective action requests, Notice of Escapes and preventive activities such as formal quality improvement plans as required by the customer. Maintain site leadership visibility of customer quality scores for OEM customers. Actively work with customer, Aerospace Quality, and site to improve these metrics.

  • CAR metrics

  • Open and Aging CSB's

  • CRB Inventory

  • Open/Aging Q1 QN's

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and empower the quality engineering team, setting an unwavering standard of excellence.

  • Undertake the development and implementation of advanced quality control processes and procedures.

  • Engage in the continuous monitoring and analysis of intricate quality performance metrics.

  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to spearhead and steer continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.

  • Guarantee and maintain strict compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Take a proactive, hands-on approach in customer complaint management.

  • Offer the quality engineering team advanced technical guidance and support.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.

  • 8+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry, demonstrating your understanding of the unique quality challenges in this sector.

  • Ability to lead, inspire, and mentor a team to achieve ambitious quality goals.

  • Advanced knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques.

  • Advanced collaboration and teamwork skills.

  • A proven track record in quality engineering and management.

WE VALUE

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Certification in project management, such as PMP (Project Management Professional).

  • Additional certifications in quality management, such as Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE).

  • Proficiency in advanced quality tools and methodologies, such as Design of Experiments (DOE), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC).

  • Proficiency in change management methodologies.
