Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team on 1st shift . The primary responsibility of this role is to perform preventive maintenance (PM) on forklifts, tractor trailers, trucks, and similar equipment. The role involves tasks such as checking tires, adding oil, conducting inspections, and adding brake fluid, akin to car maintenance but on a larger scale. Additionally, the technician will handle reactive maintenance tasks, including changing out brakes, addressing DOT failures, and replacing shocks.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on forklifts, tractor trailers, trucks, and other equipment.
Check tires, add oil, conduct inspections, and add brake fluid.
Change out brakes and address DOT failures.
Replace shocks and other mechanical components as needed.
Read and interpret blueprints for repair and maintenance tasks.
Utilize own tools for mechanical repairs.
Essential Skills
6 years of experience as a diesel technician.
Experience in diagnostics and aftermarket repairs.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance (PM) tasks.
Proficiency in diesel mechanics and mechanical repair.
Ability to read blueprints.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
