Job Title: Sr. Architect

Job Description

You will work with a highly creative, collaborative team dedicated to innovative problem solving and design excellence. We are seeking an energetic self-starter to join us to work on a range of client accounts for retail, healthcare, office, warehouse, mixed-use, and residential projects. Ideal candidates possess experience in the role and are willing and able to be team players. You should be customer service-oriented, as well as task-focused, diligent, versatile, and efficient. Comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously are important qualities for our staff.

Responsibilities

  • Develop technical drawings throughout all phases of a project.

  • Provide experiential and technical knowledge to solve design and construction issues.

  • Communicate priorities to both internal and external project teams.

  • Ensure quality for work products.

  • Develop and enforce CAD/Revit standards.

  • Assist in preparing project schedules and implementing the project work plan.

  • Interact with outside consultants and agencies.

  • Work with a team on larger projects.

Essential Skills

  • Architectural degree from an accredited university.

  • 10 to 15 years’ experience in production and coordination of documents in all phases of architectural practice.

  • Experience in commercial, healthcare, and industrial architecture; multifamily experience is a plus.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit is a plus.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects in multiple phases.

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of CAD and Revit software.

  • Proficient in development and documentation standards for design and construction drawings.

  • Knowledge of best practices for implementing professional quality drawings.

  • Thorough knowledge of applicable building codes for independent code analysis and compliance.

  • Listen and communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing.

  • Coordinate projects with team members and consultants to resolve conflicts and discrepancies.

  • Display willingness to make decisions and exhibit sound and accurate judgment.

  • Support design efforts and ensure the design intent is followed through all phases.

  • Prepare complex plans, elevations, and details.

  • Understand requirements and deliverables of all phases.

  • Organize and generate a set of working drawings, fulfilling requirements and deliverables of SD, DD, and CD phases.

  • Review submittals and shop drawings during construction.

Work Environment

Respectful and casual office environment. The role offers experience in all phases of architecture, AXP credits, a collaborative team, 401k benefits, 10 holidays, and the office is closed the last week of December covered by the firm. Flexibility for religious holidays is also provide

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Somerville,NJ.
