South Kentucky RECC Materials Coordinator in Somerset, Kentucky

Purpose of Position- Materials Coordinator Assist in maintaining inventory and material control for cooperative-wide warehouse program. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Must attain and maintain Class B CDL and forklift operator’s license. • Must live within 30 minutes, as defined by Google Maps, of the Somerset Headquarters Facility. Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed as follows: Duties & Responsibilities • Maintain inventory of construction materials, to include main warehouse location and district office locations. • Assist in monthly inventory counts to ensure appropriate stock levels at district office locations are maintained for routine and special project completion and coordinates delivery of same. • Responsible for main warehouse daily maintenance of indoor parking area, to include keeping materials neat, orderly, and accessible. Cleaning, sweeping, and other necessary maintenance to include minor equipment and lighting repair. • Provide materials, tools, etc. to construction teams and contract crews. • Perform annual inventory counts.• Handle and maintain transformer inventory and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements. • Perform tests on transformers returned from field to determine appropriate disposition. • Assist in loading and unloading construction trucks. • Responsible for loading transformers on construction vehicles with forklift. • Coordinate with meter shop personnel on disposition of regulators. • Print work orders and pull materials from inventory, to include main warehouse location and contractor jobs at district office locations. • Assemble meter bases. • Reconcile invoices to purchase orders when received and forward to accounting. • Maintain ETS parts inventory. • Must have the ability to work independently with little to no supervision at times. • Must maintain appropriate communications with consumers and other personnel that will promote positive images of self and the Cooperative. • Perform other duties as assigned. Job Effectiveness • Be able to distinguish minor and major material, for proper disposition. • Ability to use computer and specialized software, key stock, and to document daily and monthly inventory activity. • Requires math skills for inventory counts. • Be knowledgeable of Hazmat requirements and comply with required procedures. • Utilize chainsaw and other specialty equipment. • Be able to perform minor maintenance and repairs on tools and other specialty equipment. Safety Awareness • Establishes and maintains acceptable safety standards. • Maintains current knowledge of Cooperative safety regulations and evaluation of personal compliance. Internal Contacts Communication with immediate supervisor for approvals of work direction, with co-workers on team assignments and with other departments to clarify information and to resolve issues. External Contacts Members, Consumers, general public, sales representatives, and suppliers. Working conditions • A scheduled work week will consist of 40 hours with overtime expectations due to meeting deadlines, heavy workload periods, and travel. • Overtime can be with little or no advance notification due to deadlines and storm assistance requirements. • Deliveries to off-site storm outage worksites may be necessary; occasional work to performed in extreme weather conditions. • The majority of the day will be spent indoors, with occasional outdoor work required. Physical Requirements • Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling objects up to 120 lbs. • Daily use of computer, printer, and other office machines. • Frequent operation of equipment (fork truck, chainsaw). • Frequent standing and walking. • Occasional stooping, bending, climbing up to 8 ft. • Frequent hand-eye coordination.
